After a bit of looking around I have yet to find a flow chart with a simple yes or no to upgrading Windows to a more current version.

    Are the following statement correct?

    * Windows 3.11 cannot be upgraded (isn't on the A+ either)
    * Windows 95 would have to be upgraded to 98 first
    * Windows 98 could be upgraded to XP, ME and 2000 Pro.
    * NT can be upgraded to 2000 Pro.

Is it true that the A+ don't mention the server versions in the exam?

Early versions of 95 was FAT16. Later version of 95 and 98 used Fat32 and when they started referring to the 2 OS"S as windows 9X.

My first computer was an early verison of 95 with a 2 gig hard-drive. What a surprise I had when I went to 98 and found I had a 10 gig. :biggrin That when I feel in love with comps and had to know how they worked.

    From memory:

Windows NT 3.51 and NT 4.0 could be upgraded to Windows 2000, but not earlier version (3.5 or 3.1)
