    I found a PC a couple of weeks ago it had a floppy drive 5.25 but I didnt want it so I returned it to its location with the unsalveagable parts.

    I will have alook and see if its still there if it is I send you it, could be abit wet though.

    Because I'm a geek. I found all my 5.25 floppys when I was in Oz and now I want to make new copies/backups and also install some of the systems into VMs.:oops:

    Good luck reading that old 5.25 media, it was never the best even in its day, I have enough trouble reading my old 3.5 media... :biggrin

    I'd get it backed up onto something more reliable sharpish !

    You've highlighted a big problem, alot of media just doesn't age well including CDR.

    I think I'll need it as the disks have been sitting in a cardboard box in an underground garage for the last 11 or so years.:blink

    On the subject of floppies - does anyone know where I can purchase new 3.5" floppy media in the UK as I'm struggling to find anywhere
