    Hi,
I had my first ever MCP exam this morning. I passed with a 788. I would like to say thanks to everyone who posted message about their exams, what to look out and revise and the sample questions. It really helped!
As for my advice to pass on, there was little ISA and SQL mentioned, more SBS than I thought, a little DNS and some clustering/enterprise stuff I hadn't come across.
Thanks again, I'll be having a little break, then back onto the MCSE 2003 track.
    Cheers,
    Andy

The worst part was at the end of the exam where it seemed to take an age before displaying my results!

Congrats on the pass, I take it that you'll be using the 282 as an elective?

    Yes no problem.
In February I was asked by work to complete the 70-282 in order for the company to get the small business specialist. My experience of Server 2003/SBS 2003 at that point was zero.
I took the MS 3 day course (2395a) and purchased the Harry Brelsford red book. For most of February, I was studying this book and making my own notes on topics i didn’t fully understand.
In March I began using Transcender which I felt was very good. I developed experience of the product via Virtual PC, building test networks. In the last week or so, I had a few days off from work and spent nearly all of the day revising the material. The day before the exam I purchased the online MeasureUp which set my confidence back a bit as I found it much harder than Transcender.

I would certainly recommend the Harry Breslford book, and I felt Transcender was closer to the questions I sat compared to MeasureUp.

Yes that’s the plan. Based on my knowledge of 70-282, I would be grateful if someone could recommend the order I should take the MCSE exams. Which one should I begin with based on the knowledge I have?
