Has anyone here found that when connecting into terminal servers from workstations via RDP and transfering files using a mapped network drive (between the client and server) that they get painfully slow transfer speeds? When using an ftp client like filezilla for example and setting the TS server up as an FTP server the transfer speeds are fine, just when using the built in client that things really start to slow down.

Has anyone found a fix / work around for this?

Server 2003 and clients using xp

    Cheers

FTP is insecure hence the speed of it. RDP should have increased security which may result in a loss of speed when transferring files.
