    Hey all,

I'm sorry to bother you, but I hope y'all can help. I just took the Network+ for the second time, and although I increased my score to 693, I obviously still failed. Now, I have spent some time studying for this thing, and I have been an IT specialist for only a year, but I'm struggling. I've read Comptia's book, Mike Meyer's book, I've watched all of Meyer's Udemy videos, and I have supplemented that with Professor Messer's videos. Do you all have any recommendations on additional material? I haven't used a review book or practice exams (mainly because the questions on the test have been vastly different than what I have seen). Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Now that you have taken the test twice I'm assuming there are some questions you are seeing which you may not feel 100% sure on. Perhaps try and research in to the subject matter that you are struggling with to help solidify your knowledge in the weak areas.

As BB88 says, have you highlighted the areas that you struggled in?
I have mine in about 4 weeks and I have taken a couple of practice tests. I know where my weak areas are (Hitting about 60%) so I am going to concentrate on those with about 2 weeks to go.

It's ok. You only failed 2nd time now. I failed 4 times and finally passed today.
I used Mike Meiyer's videos and Professor Messer's videos and notes. I also went through skillsoft videos(expensive and pure crap)
but I am not recommending that one. If you manage to get 693, you are almost there but I am not sure if any of those study guide will help you to get that last few points. Essentially, all my studying material combined together probably covered 70% of exam problems and rest of 30% were guessing game. **** REMOVED CONTENT ADVOCATING USING BRAIN DUMP MATERIAL ****

To be honest, if you are new to IT world, it is very hard to pass network+ exam even if you study with several different studying guides. Some of questions on exam are just impossible to figure out with information on study guides alone unless you study more than what's on network+ exam study guides.

@SimonD Can this idiot be banned now? Using dumps himself is one thing but recommending them to other members is a step too far, surely.

Also, speaking as somebody who passed first time with no experience. I used Meyer's AIO, CBT nuggets and transcender. Just keep going over the material and understand the concepts. You'll get there. Just please don't listen to that idiot and resort to using dumps. You can do it.

You are annoying me now, you are recommending otheres to use dumps; I even gave you the benefit of the doubt asking others to let the dump using jibes go, but you have continued and now taken it a step further by recommending others to do the same. If you failed 3 times using dumps yet @Pseudonym can pass first time without them, then clearly your methods suck and you are in no position to offer any form of advice.

I was wondering when he would pop up again.

Anyway, like most people have said, see if you know where you are going wrong and try to read and understand the material.

Keep plugging away and i dare say you will pass it on the next go

You should try exam cram,I find the all in one books OTT and just add confusion. Also pro messer recommends the gtslearning books as they tie into his videos,I purchased the A+ one yesterday
