Can anyone help? I'm getting a bit confused as to what encryption and authorisation is used with outlook and outlook web access. From what I've learned owa uses basic and ssl and outlook uses rpc over http or https?

Am I getting this right? Any info would be helpful.

    hi,

    yes, that's it.

Always best to use SSL (from a 3rd party) for OWA rather than a self generated one.

Outlook will use RPC over the LAN and can also use it over http outside.

Haven't got anything bookmarked although if you google plenty should come up.
