    Hi,
I'm in the position where my company are wiling to pay for some cert's and i wanted to upgrade my MCDST via the 70-682 exam to a Windows 7 MCITP Enterprise Desktop Support Technician,
however I'm struggling to find materials to help me study for this.

so was just wondering whether anyone has took this exam or are preparing for this exam and what materials you are using/ used to prepare for this.

    Many Thanks,

    Liam

You would need to cover the 70-680 and 70-685.

I was thinking about this the other night: Aside from the 2 exams, are there any disadvantages to doing 70-680 and 70-685, over the upgrade exam, as if you have to buy the books / do the course, you might as well get two certificates for it? Or is the upgrade exam much easier or less in-depth than the upgrade?

The 70-682 will use questions from the 70-680 and 70-685 question pools. They will be just as in-depth.
As far as I can gather, the 70-682 is split in half, and you have to pass both halves. This probably makes it harder.

Still covers the same content, so you're studying just as much. The advantage is that you only have to pay for one exam instead of two.
