More proof if any was needed that MS certification is really part of MS marketing, and the marketing bods are generally clueless about IT...

Or does it prelude to Mac boot camping because we all know as sexy as Macs are, there's infinitely more software available for a PC :) grab your tents and toast up some best of both b*tches ha ha

A few people at Microsoft have already mentioned that Apple products do exist inside the company. One of out main Windows Phone guys carries an iPhone and an Android phone around because it helps him understand the competition and help drive a better WP experience. The Office team has Macs as they need to develop a version of Mac on them. The Surface team has a bunch of iPads on hand for comparison and analysis purposes. The Skype team has a ton of various devices for development purposes.

And sales and marketing... well, although I've never seen an Apple device in their hands here in Switzerland, I wouldn't say it doesn't happen since some division somewhere, may use an Apple for some programs which they believe works better on the Mac than on a Windows based box.

The picture could have also been made by an ad agency, and at that point anything goes.

The company itself only has 90k full-time employees. These are the ones that are expected to use 'our' products. The company also employs another 50k people which fall into categories such as vendors and the like. Many of these people work full-time for Microsoft and you see them in the office everyday, but they do not have a blue badge like FTE's do, and they may also be prone to using non-Microsoft products as the employee may come from a company such as Manpower, and who knows what the company policies at Manpower dictate as far as company-issued mobile phones or laptops go.

Just some stuff which I've learned over the years :)

Nothing wrong with owning a mac, just why put it in your advert when you don't offer training or certification on mac products*... :blink

Yes there is MOS and Office for Mac, as I understand it doesn't support VBA and is a pretty different product.

Most likely done by a sourced advertising agency.

Indeed, I've been aware for years that there are Macs internally at MS for their Mac dev teams, I recall seeing a photo of it, plus discussion from MS a few years back.

If it was a sourced advertising agency then they probably were using Macs and didn't even give it a second thought ;)

I don't know about that but I have seen some pictures, employees of Microsoft are using Mac when they were launching their Microsoft Notebook.
