essentials: LCD - CRT screens

    Is it important to learn this in depth??
    I don't think i go i go fix monitors in future...

    And this part is not so easy for me to undertand in the M. Meyers book. If it's important i gonna look for sites in dutch language to understand better.

    Not by the looks of things. You have to;
    *Identifiy the names purposes and characteristics- connector types and settings (refresh rate, resolution)
    * Apply basic troubleshooting techniques


    They say only trained people should open them up anyway, so I wouldn't think you would have to know their workings.

    Just the absolute basics will do like what the basic differences are between a CRT and LCD are and different types like svga and wxga etc.
