    Hey guys, weird one here

We are getting the above error (event id 9548, source MSExchangeIS), which is caused by the master id being removed once an account is disabled in AD.

Heres the twist, 2 users, neither of them appear in AD.

The containers they are contained within, dont exist.

I have been considering recreating the containers, and similar user accounts, but this will generate a different id, so while they maylook the same, simply recreating the users in this way, updating the self permission, im pretty sure wont work, so am at a bit of a loss here.

Have had a look at the nomas tool, but again with the lack of these objects, will it pick it up anyway?

If anyone has encountered this before then any info would be great.

(BTW the ad snap in, is configured for advanced view (which i suppose isnt really that relevant) and no filters are in place, i have tried the find as well, but again, nothing)

    *edit*
Have just tried recreating the ou's (in the same hierachy), and adding then removing a user with the same name, will see what happens.

Have you disabled the accounts and then deleted them, or are they still in AD?

Have you got any orphaned mailboxes associated with those old accounts?

have cracked it, i have had the exchange mailbox list on my screen for a while, so checked out add/remove columns in view, found out it has a full mailbox directory name option.

Enabled that, found out its under another name now so must have been renamed. *rolls eyes*
