    I find that,
just like ALL of these 'lists' year after year, they have very little standing in reality

Experience counts more than any paper obtained cert whichever way you look at it. Experience wins all the time coupled with hard work and enthusiasm.

Certs only importance is to get you to an interview as well as give you some insight to a particular software, hardware or product.

depends what you want to do really as to what's good for you!

Not that I'm complaining, one of the few certs I have is on there and it's been one that has mattered when finding jobs.

Think the PRINCE2 is much more regarded than the PMP. Practically Every job as an IT project manager asks for it. Never seen any ask for the PMP

I'd love to say I'm a certified pimp though...

Looking at the list, I think most of it is common sense for someone who wants to work their way up - 1st-2nd-3rd line roles, especially in a corperate world.

Obviously, if you want to focus on a certain area ie: networking or security, that's a completely different job in its own right and therefore different certifications would apply.

No because you didn't call out Bingo.

Seems to me that it is just a jumble of certifications. As with everything, it depends where you are and in which industry you work in as to which are the most needed and valuable certs.

Prince2 is far more regional to the UK, PMP is more well regarded worldwide, frankly if you have either at the top tier, you still only meet the 'certification' requirements of a PM, a good technical PM goes far beyond having these certs

I have a few certs on that list - therefore the list rules. :)
