I'll go out on a limb and predict a one-all draw.

    What say you, folks ?

Apart from how well we (and they) play, it depends on how McLaren fits himself out for the evening.

He's on a tightrope, but this is only a friendly. Still, with brining Beckham back in to the squad, if Mr Posh Spice is in the starting line up, McLaren has a point to prove.

How he approaches left midfield, and his striking setup, will be key. Our defence should be able to perform whenever, with their quality.

Lamps, Gerrard, Becks, Hargreaves in the midfield. Crouch and Owen up front. The defence can get on with it :)

    2 - 1 England.

Damm Arr you got errr ummm to predicate a score like that.... not you dont hehehe :biggrin

Becks has to prove himself tonight or thats it.. i dont think the result will hamper Mac's position being a friendly and he will say im experimenting (carson in goal or some other excuse..) but a loss tonight and a NON win in the euro qualifier could spell the end for him.. i hope! :biggrin and im a england supporter so dont you dare think otherwise!

    2-0 Brazil :(

well I just hope Beckham plays his socks off...he's been out of the England for a while now...I kow McLaren was reluctant to have him back...but if the fans want him, what else can you do?

And since his job is on the line (they dont wana lose the qualifier!!) he better use the players he has available to him...simple as...and with Becks, Lamps, Gerrard and Joe Cole all in midfield it better be damn good...

Im going for a 2-2 draw on this one...

    5-0 to England.

Owen to score a hat-trick on his return; Lampard & Gerrard to get one each & silence the critics!

Its a friendly and they're so hard to predict, but going out on a limb im going to say England 3-2. I, like Noel, also want Beckham to play his socks off and prove that dropping him from the squad was a mistake!

    Role on kick off :D

Cheer up Zeb! It won't be shite. lol. :) England might play shite, but it shouldn't be shite, so long as the Samba boys are out in force.

    Aaaaand so far...

sadly proved right. Only decent players on the pitch have been Gerrard, Beckham and, occasionally, Cole. How that useless fat sack of shite Lumpalard gets in the team I'll never know. Couldn't trap a wet bag of cement if you dropped it on his foot. As for Smith - well, that first half proved what everyone in England already knows - whatever he is, he ain't a striker

Well, the Samba boys haven't really turned up either, so we're still in with a chance.

I had a £2 punt at half time; Beckham 11/1 on to score next.

So I'm hoping that, at least, happens :)
