    Hi All,

Just a quick 'I'm back' message to all you lovely forum people. I went on a bit of a break about a year ago as there were a lot of things going on around that time. I'm pleased to report I'm back for the foreseeable future!

Hope you're all still cracking on with your certifications and (more importantly) enjoying them.

Only 41,000 posts to go through, so I'm sure it won't take me that long to catch up

EDIT - Just thinking I should probably bulk this post out a bit and explain what I've been up to the past year (for those that are interested - great, for those that aren't - sorry!)

So yeah... I'm still at the same company and really enjoying it. There has been a few changes in senior management, which is throwing a few spanners in the works - but also means that we have the ability to use an even greater number of products and technologies, which is great. I've been studying a lot, pushed very hard until around September last year and upgraded my MCSE to EA/SA, pursued all Windows 7 exams (especially distribution oriented ones (70-685) and got ITILv3 Foundation.

SCCM is now my main focus at work, as well as helping with our 07->10 exchange migration on top of all of the day to day stuff that's still going on, so it's all really interesting.

Passed 70-401 (MCTS:SCCM) last week on my second attempt (a PAIN of an exam purely due to it's range of topics covered) and am now responsible for everything SCCM touches in our corporate environment - which is a LOT. All updates, OSD, migrations etc etc etc.

Off on SCSM training in a couple of weeks which should be interesting.

Well, that's pretty much it! Questions on a post-card please.

    Qs

I'm more than happy to set up a thread etc, but the last decent attempt was Arro's one last year. Am in Birmingham fairly regular if anyone wants to grab a drink - doesn't have to be a full blown GTG.

    Thoughts?

Its about time we had a GTG, I know Raffaz is always up for one so that would make 3 of us for a start. :)

You're only jealous that you wouldn't be able to attend. :p

But in all seriousness, Si, we should do something. Let me create a thread and see what interest we get. Would be good to meet up with a few of the regulars.

We now have Groups active on CF Announcement Here. We could use this feature to organise our GTG's. I've created a GTG group to try this out. Its a new system to me so I'm not sure who it works fully just yet.
