Dreamweaver 8 movies

I'm doing a little self-training with assets in Dreamweaver 8. Images are no problem having added a folder to my site and copied some jpegs there.

However it doesn't work with movies. I created a 'Videos' folder in my site and added an avi movie file into it, but when I refresh the Assets panel, there is no movie file shown. Is this because Dreamweaver doesn't recognise avi movies and is therefore ignoring the file when I click refresh in the Assets panel, or is there some other reason?
