    One for Arro

400-500 mg is ok but don't have more than that !

I tripped out when working at a company some years back. I was doing COBOL on nice green vdu's and bored out of my mind. Starting hitting the drinks machine but got hooked on the chocolate drink. They were only small white cups but I was hitting about 40 a day and started getting headaches and all sorts of stuff.

Doctor told me to cut it out and when I did, felt okay again. Be warned ! :p

But the halleucinating is the fun part

In all seriousness, I have never had halleucinations on coffee (only on lack of sleep). The one time I did try to kick caffeine I had such massive withdrawl symptoms that I started drinking it again. Giving up SMOKING was easier.

But drinking what I drink of the stuff a day seriously can't be right. So I will take your unintentional slap round the chops to heart, and start cutting down.

I think you all need to realise that it's tea you should be drinking. Leave the coffee to Trip and BM the Americans.

After the Uni vs Certs war thread, lets start a tea vs coffee war:twisted:

Oh and are you guys joking about 30 cups a day??? 40 chocolate drinks a day??? Not serious surely?

    It was !

These days I drink no more than a couple of cups of tea day (plus maybe the odd cup of Earl Grey) and virtually no coffee. Plain old water or fruit juice does the job.

Thought i was bad if i had a few cups of tea within a few hours when i'm back from work. I just tend to drink a bottle of water at work or mix in some Robinsons low sugar lemon dilute drink to it to get some taste.

When i come home i will drink maybe 2-3 cups of tea before the night is through. Could never imagine drinking 10 cups of anything let alone 40!! I know some guys drink 10 pints of beer but i don't even like alcohol. I always wondered how they could fit it all in. Surely that's like 40 trips to the toilet!!!

I worked out in another thread I drink in the region of 3.5 litres of coffee at work.

I didn't mention there, but I do also have a 2 litre watre bottle I refill each day. So I get the 2 litres of water in - which is just as well, considering how much the coffee probably dehydrates the system!

No joke, was really hooked on the stuff... should've seen the withdrawl.
But all is much better now. Drinking more juice and water then anything else.

Hey. More coffee for us. I like it. :biggrin

I try not to drink too much, and switch to water for most of the day, then chamomile tea at night. I do need a couple of cups in the morning to jump start my brain, though.

2 Spoons of Espresso, 2 Spoons of Sugar and about an inch and a half of water, got hooked on it delivering in Munich. That gets your heart going in the morning, evening, weekends . . . . I'm living on about 3 of them a day, can't be good for me though. No side effects yet though. . . AAAAAAAAARRRRRGh!
