Just to confirm after all the advice i`ve read that probably the best way to achieve the above qualification is with the MSpress books(and maybe exan cram), measure up and self tests on Microsoft website a practice computer at home and then book yourself an exam at a external centre. Phew !!
    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Sounds like a plan!

    Two words of advice:
    1. Do as many of the labs in the books as you can (preferably, all of them).
    2. Read ALL of the explanations in the practice exams you take, even the ones for which you know the correct answer.

    Best of luck!

I can agree with the above - I've just passed the 70-271 exam and using ms press, exam cram 2 and the sybex mcdst book - it all helped. So did the year experience at work and practising on my virtual system at home.

    Good luck!
