Is anyone subscribing to RSS feeds and finding it a useful technology?

If so what useful feeds are you subscribed to?

    I use them religiously
my life would be a complete mess if I didnt use them to manage the flow of information
I use various different aggregators, I use them to bring relevent news to ME so i dont have to go and fid it
I use custom RSS feeds and cascaded RSS feeds to rip appropriate site content that i'm interested in right to my desktop/laptop/blackberry

I've dabbled with it but prefer to use email subscriptions and just visiting sites for updates. I use two widgets for Konfabulator/Yahoo! Widget Engine that have RSS feeds showing the latest BBC News headlines but that's it. Oh, and a daily Dilbert comic strip RSS reader that's also a YWE widget.

    Can't be arsed with 'em.

If I want to know whats going on in the real world (and that doesn't happen very often) I go to the BBC site. Thats about it.

I use Google reader to keep control of my feeds. Also has the advantage of showing content that would otherwise be blocked by the filter.

Also use RSS feeds to add content to www.nvfc.co.uk

    Use them and love them.

Since i have Google set to my homepage i figured i might as well add RSS feeds. That way i get all the news i need right on my favorite search engine! :D

Have certforums as an RSS feed and good to just glance to see an interesting topic has been posted and dive straight to these forums!

I use them but not religiously - I have our site and the daily Dilbert - they are the only two things I need to be kept up to date with. The rest of the news comes to me whether I want it or not, via TV, word of mouth, Freddy Freeloader or me mother-in-law :biggrin :biggrin

I'm pretty much in the same boat as Phoenix. I have a lot of the configured in klipfolio and I also use the firefox extension sage to get my feeds too. Can't live without them, especially the Dilbert.

Even when I'm signed into my YIM account and I get email notifications I get annoyed! I prefer do find the information that I want to find myself.
