    i have been trying to figure out what the append primary and connection specific dns suffix option does.

    does this option allow to add the host name to the Domain name when it tries to resolve network resources?

    Thanks for assisting

    Best Regards

    In essence yes, what happens when you apply the primary domain suffix is by default it will append that suffix to a host only query, so for example if you add widgets.com as the suffix, open up a command prompt and type "ping beer" after a netbios query has failed it will query beer.widgets.com by default.

    A connection specific suffix is so you can add different suffix's to different network cards for example if your pc had 2 nics each connected to different domains then you could add the correct suffix for each side of the nics.

    widgets.com->nic1
    barsnacks.org->nic2
