What do you guys recon would be the best distro to use so i can xperiment with DNS servers samba servers etc but still have a gui and be able to desktop type stuff e.g. word editing.

its totally upto you... have you looked at www.distrowatch.com they list all the distros! Another factor is are you going to choose one so people around you can help like freddy knows debian and tripwire i think is a fedora core guy. Another thing i noticed is alot of the books and tutorials are based on fedora. Oh and i use debian!

 

Ive decided on debian seen as a lot of people seem too be using it around here. But if anyone else has any suggestions, id still like too know.
