    Hi,

As the sort of fellow who likes to have a plan I have gained A+ (well chuffed) and hope to get Network + certified by the end of July.
I think after this (assuming I will pass) I would like to head down the MCSA Security route. My question is can this be achieved by home study as it is based on Win 2003?

Yup - as long as you have the commitment, good resources and the tools to set up a lab to do it on (either physical machines, or a Virtual tool to allow you to host multiple clients and servers on your main PC)

Would take me all night to pull out all the relevant links from around the site - do some searching and you'll find some great advise already here m8. (Sorry - don't mean to choose the lazy option here - just I don't have time to trawl thru' them all ... )

I am in the process of doing the MCSA:security on the way to MCSE:security, I have two PC's (as well as two laptops, but they are sperate) and I think I can do it all from these PC's with abit of VMware to help in the middle. The main thing is undertanding the main concepts - TCP/IP - OSI model - Unix(!) - Dir/Ser - Etc and then all the pratical stuff falls into place!
Need any help - just shout
    Jamin.
