Hi all,

Just wondering for those of you who record your desktops for training sessions etc what software do you commonly use. I quite like camstudio (cause its free and does the job) but would like a few extra features like zooming etc. Are there any buried treasures around the net that I should be looking at for this purpose.

Camtasia I support is another common one but the cost is rather prohibertive, maybe up to around fifty nicker I could justify but no more than that really.

Those 2 are the one I would have recommended but agree with the cost of Camtasia being a bit steep, I know someone on this forum that got a great deal on the Camtasia License so hopefully they'll post on here how they got it ;)

 

I spoke to Camtasia in the US and it was suggested that I purchase the Educational Edition of it and use a discount code that was provided to me, in the end it cost me $79.

The thing to bear in mind is that you will have to go through a US proxy though because their website uses geoproxys to send you to the UK site if you're coming from the UK and their code doesn't work in the UK.
