Well it seems that DHL has lost my AC Adapter! :x

The dell guy gives me the tracking number so while I am on the phone with him I punch it in and it say next delivery from july 7th, yet at the very top it says. "Estimated Delivery Date: 7/14/2008" WTF? The guys said that it is more then likely lost. So he issued me another one today and hopefully will be here tommrow! He told me if the other one ever does show up just pop the shipping lable in the box on it and return it. Lets see if the first one even shows up.

Fortunately, it's not Dell's fault. Unfortunately, that doesn't get your adapter to you any sooner. Bleah.

Want me to go to Nashville's DHL office and knock some heads around for you, Mitzs?

Oh but this time I think it is dell fault. Still no adapter. Why? Seems after a friendly phone call to Dhl today they do not service this area anymore. He told me it will get handed off to the post office somewhere down the road and they will delivery it,but he told me not to expect the first one before tuesday or wedesday.

Best part of the whole thing is that I had just got done talking to dell again before calling dhl this time an overseas desk help. I called after 4, the guy over there tells me that I never even talked to dell support yesterday and there was no order being shipped to me from fed ex either. :x So a manager gets on the line. He is going to take care of this personally for me and he will have it to me in 2 days promise. I told him today is friday. No one delivers on sunday. Oh no no, 2 days he goes. Either way, this dude just flat out lied to me. He didn't talk to anyone at DHL or they would have told him they don't service this area anymore. So in the end I am going to end up with 4 packages from dell though the mail with return stickers for a dhl pick up. I wonder how that is going to work for them. And for petesakes why the hell doesn't dell know this? And why didn't dhl tell them when they can't do a next day delivery that has to come up in their system? I am not a happy camper at all.

You might be able to build one MacGyver style, take some of the electronic bits out your toaster, mix some fertiliser and sugar and use the glass from your watch to focus the sun light on it, then build a battery to store the power out of an old coke bottle and some alka-seltzer.

Ok, so that might not work. For all their efforts you have seen the three sides of support from a big company.

    1) They are eager to help their customer and post out your parts.
    2) The company is so big they don't actually know what the other hand is doing, and have no idea what the status of their chosen delivery company is, they would have to ring them and find out, same as you did.
    3) Foreign call centres suck, big time.

What started out as a good experience for you has rapidly gone the other way, Dell may have lost a customer this week.

That's what you get for living about 30 miles PAST the sticks. Have they brought "the cable" out there yet?:twisted:

You're right: no one delivers on Sunday. They don't even move packages on Saturday unless they have to or you paid them extra to.

You probably just got a doofus on the phone; every company has at least one (and some have many more than one). Sucks that you got burned by it.

Unfortunately, no other company would have likely gotten the part out to her. You know where the middle of nowhere is? Yeah, go past there, and Mitzs lives on the outskirts of that.

I must say I've always had a good experience with dell, although they do have a step or to too much in the phone support, but bits and engineers come out really quickly to me.

Yes it is nice to deal with the their support they are very nice and helpfull. However, dell and dhl need to get thier **** togather when it comes shipping procedures. I don't blame the support team for that.
However, I will be talking to a dell manager when I call back to ask them how they want these returned since dhl will not pick up packages here. Not to mention a wasted week of my life waiting for things to be delivered.

What, did you not have anything else to do? :p

Did you sit on your front porch this whole time?

I'd run... but it'd take you forever to get to civilization, THEN you'd have to find me.:twisted::twisted:

Dude I swear I am soooo going to hurt you when next I see you. I may be in the middle of bfe but the secenry I look at ever day is well worth the trade off. Well expect for that huge snake joe draged out of the house a couple of weeks ago.

No, actually I had to rescheduel a denitist appt and a mri. That just is not really cool when it is due to their lack of knowledge of what is going on within their shipping dept and their shippers. Not to mention that my dr was not happy with me for changing the date of the mri. They called me yesterday to make sure I was going to show up yesterday!:ohmy
