Handed in my CV down at the Pc repair shop down the road. The shop manager said the owner was away for a few weeks, and said he doesnt think he's hiring atm, all while he was saying that he was reading my cv and giving off funny looks.. I did bring up voluntary work, and he yeah true all you need is experience now really..

He said he'll give it to the owner when he gets back and see where we go from there..

I didn't comfortable at all, so got out of there as quickly as possible. :unsure

Believe it or not, when I applied to volunteer for charities that fix/repair/build computers for developing countries, they all said they had a "waiting list"...

Not even for free they want people working anymore, go figure... :ohmy

There's a limit on how many people can help out at once before it becomes more hassle than help. And there are probably a bunch of people with the exact same idea as you have...

Do you know any specific places I could ask to volunteer for?

How do I go about doing it aswell... Email? Phone? Letter?

    I feel so depressed

Unfortunately, no, considering I'm in the US. :)

    Any and all!

No reason to! IT's a great career field! Just gotta get your start... and in all honesty and candor, it'll be difficult. But we ALL started from nothing - we ALL got our start somewhere! So don't despair! Keep at it. If you truly enjoy technology, you'll enjoy working in IT. Better yet, your passion and love for the field will show... and those who love IT tend to do better than those who are in IT solely for the money.
