    Hey mate,

In the new financial year, we'll ditch our Toshiba's and go with the Digi-logs (the Briefcase Portability one) :biggrin

I was thinking about the 80mb for just under 12k, but go with the Penril Modem - it's sexy, it's hip, it's futuristic :)

we found a pile of old magazines once and were going through all the old catalogues in the back, hillarious looking at some of the stuff of old

sad thing is in 15 years they will be doing the same thing to the stuff we have now

'dad are you serious, you used to have a PC with only four cores in it? and not even a single TB of memory? wow, and air cooled? how quaint!!'

300MB is overkill. You’ll never need more than 80MB.
Seriously… “What the heck is Electric Mail?” Will it work with Briefcase Portable computer?

I had the old 16k speccy when they came out and the upgrade to 48k was the first pc hardware job i did! just 4 little dil memory chips inserted into the sockets already on the pcb!

In those days ya didnt have to worry about matching voltages, clock speeds and latency timings. You just bought the chips that Sinclair recommended from Maplins.
