    Hi all,

im looking to start off and get the A+ cert, but not sure what tests to take.

Am i right in thinking I need to study for 220-701 and 220-702? I keep seeing alot of posts mention both 220-701 and 220-601 and its a little confusing.

The 220-6xx exams are the old A+ exams, which will retire in the UK at the end of August.
The 220-7xx exams are the new A+ exams.

You can take either set of exams, but you can't mix or match them - you have to take 220-601 and 220-602 (or 603 or 604 in lieu of 602), or you have to take 220-701 and 220-702. Either way, you'll have the A+ certification for life (provided you've taken them before the end of the year; people who certify in 2011 or later must recertify every 3 years).
