Right, Apologies in advance. i am trying to self study for the A+ exam. i was under the impression i was studying for core hardware and operating systems and sourced a book who chapter came in the order of the exam domains. now i see that as of september (i.e now!) there are differences in the exams which are now A+ Essentials (220-601) and one of 3 others (602,3,4)
i have the exam objectives for the new ones (i wont get into the domains in each exam being the same yet) so should i just press ahead with the books that i have or has there been one published which follows the new objectives.

    i swear im not thick.

You have until March to keep on the old (2003 objectives) track.

So if you think you can do both exams in that time keep on as you are.

There are very few books available yet for the new objectives.

    Hi bmurray2005,

You have until 31st March 2007.

Until then what you have is good.

What you have will also cover the new A+ Essentials (220-601) exam.

No need to panic, depending on your time frame. The other exams are really about what area you are likely to be working in.

Most new books etc are being released late Nov early Dec
