    Hi
Ok it probably has been repeated in the forum so i apologise for the inconvenience. I understand that the 601 and 602 will finish end of August? this year. Am i right in thinking that 701(Essentials) and 702(PC Technician) replace theses exams as they are 2009 and not 2006. So if i take the 701 and 702 at the end of this year (December 2010) i will have a lifetime certificate instead of having to take it after the 3 years. Because 701 and 702 are incorporated into the 2009 exams will my 7th edition of Mike Meyers be ok as well as my pc technicians street smart be ok. Will i need any other books that discuss Vista. Hoping to do it in 7 months.

    Thanks
    PC

The 2009 edition of the A+ is the 700 series. The Mike Meyers book you have is the latest one.

The 600 series and 700 series are running at the same time however the 600 series is retired on August 31st.

If you want to be compTIA A+ certified for life you have to pass both 700 series exams by December 31st.
