I home studying for the comptia A+. I am concerntrating on taking mock exams for the hardware exam. after completing this exam,how long do i have to take the operating system test. any ones help would be amazing

You have until the current exam expires. If you took the 601 exam, you have until August 31 of this year (if you are in the UK). If you took the 701 exam, you have until the 70x series expires.
