My cousin nearly got coned by these people http://f1compstepuk.com/ They cold call and get users to install team vier (which is innocent in and of itself).

The hook is apprently "we have been referred from Microsoft as your machine is running slowly" and they will fix this for a £35 fee, and will then try to up sell you to the £185 24/7 support contract.

obviously people on here would know better but for people less savvy it could be a risk.

Thought it was worth mentioning.

Nowadays there has been a increase in cold calling scams. Lots of innocent people are being scammed out of their money. They claim many things and ask you to pay them money but, they don’t fulfill their promises.
