OMG I had no idea just how difficult it would be to 'rotate' my desk round 90 degrees lol
I had so much stuff cabled up the back of my desk it wasn't even funny

    Things I found

    Jewellers Screwdriver
    iPod cable cap
    Scout badge (wtf)
    Old Audigy cable
    Old ikea desk light cable
    2x spare VGA cables
    3x spare power cables
    Old printer power cable
far too much dust to mention

It's a bit messy at the moment, have a bit more rearranging to do tomorrow hehe

I wired all three monitors and my USB hub to a 4 way adapter with a convieniant toe switch (not sure that was its intended use) so I can power down the monitors and all USB devices every time i leave the desk, purdy cool and green! :P

Also took the time to label a few of the important plugs with some red electrical tape so i know 'don't turn this off unless absolutely necessary'

I have come to the conclusion I need a MUCH bigger desk.. and some form of shelving.. but with my move likely in the next 6 months, im not convinced to go and buy anything hehe

Your desk sounds as bad as mine Ryan, expect I can find what I want when I need it. Plus it also keeps joe away from it most of the time because he can't handle the clutter.

My room is quite a mess. In fact, the olympic team triple-jump come train in my room, and they sure have to be pretty good to avoid al the piles of books laying around there. Still, my wife is forbidden to clean up. When she just moves one pile in the room, I'm completely lost.

The missus keeps bugging to clean up the study room and *get rid of* my books. Why is it so selfish to one just one room as a lair?

Didn't you tell me once she collects cookbooks? Tell her for ever book that just disappears so does one of hers. If that doesn't work, stand in front of the door and thump your chest while chanting man cave then give a few grunts.:biggrin:twisted:

She has some cookbooks but she doesn't collect them. Besides, it's a matter of understanding the interest. If she doesn't understand why I like something, it just doesn't register why I shouldn't get rid of it. I think it's just the way her thought processes work. She's kept pictures and various other objects for decades and they occupy physical space, but if she thinks something of mine takes up too much space, she wants me to toss it. Go figure.

The caveman thing would go just as well with her as you'd take it from Joe.

Yeah, I guess your right. A kick to the nads and she be over your back as soon as you hit the floor throwing those books out the window in to the back of someone pick-up truck. You might want to try diamonds and alot of groveling maybe. Sorry dude, its the best I can do this late at nite.:biggrin

Nah. diamonds and the like are out. She's not into jewelry (go figure). All those "buy her diamonds and she'll love you forever" ads just make me laugh.
