Clarification on Network cables

    thanks for clearing that up harry!

    Although it's strange that the study book I am using:-

    Which has been reviewed and authorised by Comptia and has their seal of approval has questions on cat6e and cat 7 cables and yet does not state these cable are not reconised by Comptia?:blink

    As far as I can see CompTIA and TIA are 2 different organisations, so I don't think there is a contradiction there, or am I reading into that incorrectly?

    Correct. EIA/TIA is a standards body - and no connection to CompTIA.

    Probably the best known older standard from EIA/TIA used to be under the name of RS232. :biggrin

    Test Out is another exam based simulator, which i found for the A+ was quite good, as were the Transcenders.
    For N+, i cannot comment as i have not used it.
