    Thinking about doing this next, anyone out there done this, what are there experiences and thoughts?

    Thinking about doing security? I buddy of mine is attempting to get this done... he did do the CCNA security exam before hand which is what some people recommend.

    I did this a couple of years ago and my comments are in Ken's second link.
    Couple of other points to note is there is a yearly maintenance fee you have to pay to ICS2 plus Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits that you have to submit.

    Hi Ken,

    I feel your pain. Good luck next time. at least the first attempt has exposed you to what SSCP is all about. I want to do the CISM. Any thought on that?

    Was a useful thing for me to have and has helped me get 2 jobs since so personally it's been a real benefit :)

    Depending on how new or not you are to security the CompTIA Sec+ can be a good introduction to things.
