I'm toying with this one. As you know from my posts in the "Jobs" forum, I'm now somewhat associated with a local wireless startup. I've already done one very small job for them with the promise of more. One task the owner has given me is to learn more about wireless.

I've tried google searches, Cisco White Papers, and links to wireless "links" pages, but the data is too haphazard for my rigid, linear mind to organize. One thing that Chris, the boss, asked me when he was discussing my CCNA was if Cisco had any wireless specific certs. I didn't know at the time but have since found this:

There's a brand new text and lab journal that goes along with the new netacad course associated with this cert:

Plus a couple of texts that look like they'd be good primers for the subject:

Naturally, I'm sucking around for opinions, comments, and ideas.

I was going to post a link but it's not worth it really.I've found the IEEE website excellent to find out about new standards.

It may be too linear and rigid, but you can get books which aren't vendor specific i.e Cisco, but more standard specific. This may give you a broader picture.

    Well, blow it, here's a link, couldn't help myself :) http://standards.ieee.org/wireless/

That's exactly what you want. Not being tied to a specific vendor.

So who is this exam done with i.e is it just educational, like a diploma or Uni course :?:
