    Morning,

not sure if this is the right place for this thread,

but ive got a small network that i have set up, 6 window 7 PCs with a server that has ws2008. What i want to do is set up Cisco VPN so that my workers can have direct access to the network from their laptops using CISCO VPN client software...

How do i achieve this?limited knowledge on Cisco....

    thanks

Do you have Cisco devices that support client VPN connections in your network? If not you will need to get one.

    6 PCs connected to server.

ADSL line and router provide by BT.

    Is it at domain network?

The actual solution you choose will depend on what exactly you want them to do while working remotely. With an ADSL line you upload speed is going to restrict performance somewhat as it's probably only around 512kbps upload speed.

Windows 7 has it's own type of VPN called Direct Access. I'm not sure if it will work with a workgroup environment and you also need Server 2008 R2. You say that you have Server 2008 but you don't mention that it's R2 so you might not be able to use it. It also depends on the version of Windows 7 you have too.
