Do what I do - use packet tracer to create and amend test environments to keep your skills sharp.

Beats messing with the real hardware and screwing it up :p Plus it reinforces techniques which you may be a little rusty on.

I am far from looking at the CCNA at the moment

But i wonder how, where and how much when it comes to the packet tracer software?

Does it come with CCNA training packages?

It's only (legally) available from Cisco themselves.

You need a Cisco Acadamy Connection login to obtain it. See here

I received my login through my university.
