For those that want a Cisco cert but do not want to do the CCNA, watch for this new cert from CISCO: CCENT

    See the whole article here.

All this new cert is that you pass the ICND exam.. you basically get it when you pass one of the exams on becoming a CCNA - much i think like an "MCP"

Actually, the ICND1 exam. The current ICND exam will not grant you any certification.

And no, the CCENT is nowhere near the same as the MCP designation. "MCP" means you've taken one of many different Microsoft exams. You can only get the CCENT by taking the ICND1 exam.

I read the link given last week, nowhere on that page did it mention the new cert: CCENT (or the ICND1 640-822) - Unless I'm missing something????

It only mentions the changes to the CCNA and the 640-802 exam.

    -Ken

D'oh it was mentioned after I posted on that thread by MrNerdy so I never read it (I did do a search though)
