Anyone know of any decent CCNA books i did check the cisco resources post but its over a year old

Yes - mine are for sale on Amazon. I used the Todd and the Sybex one.

 

yes, Sybex one is good, and the cd is valuable.

 

Just checked on Amazon, and they have the Cisco CCNA 1 and 2 Companion Guide (Revised 3rd Edition). This is prolly the most up to date book from ciscopress, though personally I have the 3rd edition companion guides.

 

Cisco Press Wendell Odom books, all the way, baby! Nothing else comes close, imho.

 

I think the Cisco CNAP program material is excellent!
It covers far more than regular certifications books do!

I've been told this is the book to get.

 

I can't give a direct recommendation as the CCNA test I took is retired, but the Cisco Press books I used were very good. I'd have to say that they were the only exam-specific books I've used that taught more than just basic minimums. It was a set of 3 books totaling almost 2000 pages.
