There are quite a few members who would be interested in a Christmas knees up. :)
CF members are from all areas of the UK, so it would only be fair to hold it in the Midlands area.
I was thinking of a sit down meal with plenty of beer flowing, and a few at last orders in the local pub. This way it gives people who live nearby (or don't want to stay overnight) the option of going home.
The plan is to agree on an area, then venue. Once this is settled, we can work out train, coach travel, B&B etc.

Hope to see as many people as possible.

    Harry,

LOL. I am trying to <pin> it down, so we can arrange a venue.
I was thinking of asking all who would like to go for a knees-up and work out a central location from there. The idea being if ten people in the north wanted to go and 2 from the South then maybe the minority wouldn't mind making up the distance.
I then thought if we have central location to start, we can hopefully achieve the maximum turn-out.
    Hope to see you there.

Ok, so it looks like 2nd December is favourite. I will do some research for <places to go> , but would rather have personal recommendations from people in the area. So, if you can recommend somewhere nice we can relax, have some food, beer and pubs are nearby please post them.

Hope to see as many people that can make it.

there is also jd weatherspoons on broadstreet and another one that i know of which is around ten min walk on Bennetts Hill... its in the centre aswell, indoor non smoking, and there is outdoor in the back garden, where you can smok, but i dont think peolpe will sit outside, unless they have those big heater things...
