    Yup, thanks for that Ryan - makes vast sense now.

    Having worked for an ISP, I'd love to assure you that we had change control in place, but if anything, it was half-remembered conversations and vague scribblings on napkins, envelopes, etc.

    Glad I'm more aware of it now though - thanks for that :)

    Sounds kinda like a version history or somesuch then. Guess it's something that's more or less common sense really (I hope!). I understand what you mean by it now, just never saw the need to actually label the process with a term.
