    Hi all,

Sorry if i am repeating this post, but i have have just been made redundant and was thinking of signing up for cerco fast track.

have had 9 years of semi IT ,installing new pc's software printers etc.

are there any updated reviews re cerco and people having found jobs, and do you think 49yrs of age could be a problem.would appreciate honesty here,Thanks Garry.

Hi Garry - sorry if we didn't manage to get an answer for you first time, but I know there are a few more posts around here recently about Cerco - have a blast of the "search" feature upabove here m8.

As for 49 being to old, I doubt it - if you have the committment, then go for it. There's a few around here would be only too happy to call you "youngster"

    Good luck :)

Welcome Garrymol. The one thing about IT is that it is not prejudist. It doesn't matter how little, big, young or old you are as long as you know what your doing. Go for the gusto and welcome to IT! :)

im new on here, so here goes,
i have recently done my Cerco Training, the training is second to none, very hands on + the lecturers are great....
downside is there doesnt seem to be much in the way of followup from the recruitment team, i finished the course four weeks ago now and i havent had a lead or an interview arranged so far......i have done the leg work myself, so be aware that you may have to do the jobhunting yourself mate!!

one of the things they told me in the induction was, depending on the area it may be hard to find work, however they told me that i should look for work, when/if i can find suitable positions pass on the details to them, and they sort it all out for you, i still can't make up my mind on it, they haven't been pestering, since i went up for the induction test thing, i've had one phonecall and 2 emails and that was 10 days ago, i said i'd phone back when i've made my mind up and they accepted it, so i don't feel as if they are pushing to hard, which is annoying!, because if they did i'd instantly be put off! :p

    Hi

I attended the Cerco training course in 2004 and found it to be a complete waste of money. The instructors were poor, the training was poor, there was no worthwhile certification offered. I installed Windows 2000 at least 10 times when a couple of times would have been enough. Lots of time is spent talking about things you'll never likely need... the 'Kernel' for instance. You are told that you are guaranteed to pass however bad you are! I did get a job a few months after through their recruitment scheme but it was a poor job which I didn't stay at. I found the training they had given was not much use in the job either.
I would strongly recommend not to go on this course.

    Afternoon

I was due to start the 2 week course on the 13th May,

Had my doubts and after looking on "Companies House" I have decided to give it a BIG BIG miss, I suggest anyone looking into this company do some thorough research first.

I dont want to say to much but its obvious how they are making money from this.

I will add it was due to sites like this that made me question them so thank you!!

I've never heard of Cerco training. I have no idea if they are good or bad. However, 3 brand new users log on to slag it off? coincidence??? Jealousy?

    hhhmmmmmm :dry
