    please i will like to have a basic instructions on how to set up a home lab for my ccna trainning

    Hi lagosboy and welcome to CF:) with regards to setting up a lab for your CCNA study I'd advice you get the book by Cisco press as well as the Boson netsim software.

    Alternatively, check on ebay for a 1600 series router and a 2950 switch as there are some good bargain stuff on there.

    However, bear in mind that owing to your IT background being in desktop support it would be a challenge to get a role in networking as you might have to start with network administrator junior type role and work your way up.

    Also have you considered following the A+ with the N+ prior to embarking on the CCNA? It would seem the logical progression bearing in mind it is vendor neutral and covers a broad spectrum of networking topics.
