    He's ok.

Day 5 - Well, after a very tiring and quite challenging week I haven't got my CCNA. In fact i haven't taken it yet and i didn't even have the option. In all honesty I don't think i could sit the exam and pass it, but that doesn't mean i've wasted £360. In fact i'd say i've got what i paid for. I have the option of taking the test anytime i want and I feel like i've got a solid foundation to build on over the next week or two.

Quick question though, If i was given a document containing 1100 questions and told to go away and study them would that be a braindump?

Depends on where the questions came from. Braindumps are actual questions from actual exams. Do a search, there are plenty of threads on here about them.

More than likely, yes. One of the better known braindump companies is currently offering a CCNA product with over 1000 questions, so your class might have given you a braindump to use. :(

Is there a name or title on the 1100 questions you were given?

Just reading this interesting thread - what experience and/or quals have you got? the reason i ask this was because of the part when you mentioned the IT experience part...

It's from ******** . It's rubbish anyway. Most of the questions are either incomplete or have the wrong answers so i'm not going to use it.

2 1/2 years in support (software/hardware) and 9 months in IT Training. Thats it though. I've had no training and I have no IT qualifications.

MOD EDIT SG: Remove name of BD supplier.

Yep, that's a definite braindump. If you would be so kind, edit out the name so that others aren't tempted to use it.

Unfortunately, that means that if the school gave you the braindump to use, the school isn't really interested in training... they're interested in weakening the value of our hard-earned certifications by allowing people to get certified before they're REALLY ready to be certified... just so they can take your hard-earned money. I'd encourage you to avoid them in the future, and let others know about their shady practices.

Yes aggree with Mike, and i suggest reporting them to Cisco regarding the BD thing as its very bad and they may get injunctions for the company to stop using cisco trademarks (CCNA etc)

Excellent idea, Ryan. Cisco will be VERY interested to hear of a "training provider" that does those kind of things, because Cisco is extremely protective of their certification tracks.

Wish i'd said something after i'd taken the exam i've paid for rather than before.

    :(

ps. i feel that i would pass the exam with a couple of weeks study on top of what i've learnt this week.
