    Hi all,

Looking to build a CCIE Lab for the routing and switching side of things,
This is what i intend to buy

    Routers

R1 - Cisco 2610XM Fast Ethernet Router 128D/32F Adv Ent 12.4T Dual Serial
R2 - Cisco 2610XM Fast Ethernet Router 128D/32F Adv Ent 12.4T Dual Serial
R3 - Cisco 2611XM Fast Ethernet Router 128D/32F Adv Ent 12.4T Four Serial
R4 - Cisco 2611XM Fast Ethernet Router 128D/32F Adv Ent 12.4T Dual Serial
R5 - Cisco 2611XM Fast Ethernet Router 128D/32F Adv Ent 12.4T Dual Serial
    R6 - Cisco 2611XM Fast Ethernet Router 128D/32F Adv Ent 12.4T Serial
    BB1 - Cisco 2501 Ethernet Dual Serial Router 16D/16F Ent Plus 12.2
    BB2 - Cisco 2501 Ethernet Dual Serial Router 16D/16F Ent Plus 12.2
    BB3 - Cisco 2501 Ethernet Dual Serial Router 16D/16F Ent Plus 12.2
FRR - Cisco 2522 Ethernet Ten Serial Frane-Relay Router 16D/16F Ent Plus 12.2
AS - Cisco 2511 Ethernet Dual Serial 16-line Access Server Router 16D/16F Ent Plus 12.2

    Switches

    SW1 - Cisco 3560-24-TS-S Layer 3 Switch Adv Ip Services K9 12.2
    SW2 - Cisco 3560-24-TS-S Layer 3 Switch Adv Ip Services K9 12.2
    SW3 - Cisco 3550-24 EMI Image Layer 3 Switch Ip Services K9 12.2
    SW4 - Cisco 3550-24 EMI Image Layer 3 Switch Ip Services K9 12.2

However it would be beneficial to have
•1841 series routers - IOS 12.4(T) – Advanced Enterprise Services

•3825 series routers - IOS 12.4(T) – Advanced Enterprise Services

as mentioned in the lab scenario, so what should i replace with the 1841 / 3825 and by which quantity ?

Thanks for the help and any feedback is appreciated

That's a nice setup, how much did all of that cost you?
Also, why are you going straight for the CCIE and not doing CCNA/CCNP first?
    What's your current job role?

Got all the kit with 12.3 / 12.4 ios for £5000

I know most of the stuff in ccna and ccnp so before i do embark on the ccie i will just take the exams to make sure i know everything fully .... as ill need a solid understanding of all the core cisco learning objectives for the exams

Its all at home still in the boxes .. need to find myself a nice rack and then kit it all out! .. im taking a year out of work to just focus on ccie , might try to find part time work in between to pay for keeping the equiment powered on though :p ..
Planning to start from this monday .. going through ccent / ccna / ccnp before i get involved fully in the ccie ..

Currently im a network technician in a small corporate enviroment .. however it is very basic and i want a challenge .. spanning trees and vlans are not enough .. want to get involved in some more complex theories and ideas ...

Ill try and get some pictures up soon
