Both the TBag witches ended up on Emmerdale  :biggrin

After some Wikipedia-ing and Googling, I'm disappointed to find out that the kid who played T-shirt also does voiceovers for the annoying ringtone ads. As well as numerous other ads...

Also liked stuff like centurions, transformers, m.a.s.k (actually theres a rather lonely looking mask dvd in my local petrol station, its been there for a few weeks I'm so close to giving it a home). My fav things I remember would be trap door, danger mouse, ,super ted, count duckula and im sure theres a ton of other stuff.

most of the cartoons we got were 4 years old when we got them. We got defenders of the earth in 88 but it had been in the US from 84.

Teenage mutant ninja turtles came to us after a lot of legal stuff as some idiot at the BBC wanted it's name changed to hero turtles because the word ninja encouraged violence according to the head of BBC kids entertainment.

My first thought was Thundercats. Then Ninja Turtles.

Both already mentioned - useless post.

I'm getting good at these posts these days :(

I actually saw Thundercats box set in HMV, probably why it was the first one to spring to mind. However, when I saw it I did go into "can I? please can I? pleeease?" mode :P

How has it got this far wothout a mention of Jamie and his Magic Torch?? That was the stuff of legends. And what about Bananaman

It's funny watching some of these back now. YouTube has some brilliant Knightmare clips of kids not being able to tell left from right and that, and sending their helmeted friend plummeting into a CGI abyss.

Also, any nostalgia botherers there, check this out, practically any TV theme you can think of, all the great kids shows too

Moomins were freaky, but great...not a cartoon, but "Round The Twist" used to freak me out also - they'd have some really odd stuff happen. In particular, there was this episode where a little boy grew loads of extra finger nails....which turned out to be mermaid (merman?) scales...eeeearrrgth!

Have you ever ever felt like this....

Also on the weirdness theme, do you remember "Eerie Indiana"?!?

Most of you are making me feel 1) very old, 2) very American, or 3) both.

I can make you feel young. I watched Scooby Doo in 1966 when the cartoons were brand new, and while it wasn't an animated cartoon, I watched Fireball XL5 in 1961 (and it was a UK production, though all the actors sound American). I found XL5 episodes on YouTube and the opening theme still is really cool. The coolest theme and cartoon *ever* are the original Jonny Quest cartoons (1964). Great jazz charts for both opening and closing credits.

    Still feel old, Michael?

I remember round the twist and Eerie indiana, I loved them both.
GBL if I remember correctly Eerie indiana was kinda like a kids version of the x-files with weird things happening every week being investigated by a normal teenager that moved there. Seem to remember him riding around on a bike.

As for thundercats I owned all the toys when I was young, but my mum gave them away at some point
