Cant find Show Desktop Icon anywhere?

At one point I had my Windows XP taskbar configured to show the show desktop icon, but now I cant find it anymore. Can someone tell me where to get this icon so that I can drag it to the Quick Launch area of my Windows XP taskbar.

Interesting, I never realised it was such a palaver!

 

I don't bother looking for it these days - I just hit <windows>-D.
