    Hi all

As mentioned in my introductory post Im am looking to get some certs in the Microsoft arena, however they are sooo confusing with all the little exams you have to take. I have certs like OSCP, Security+ Linux+ and CCSA but they are just the one exam if you get what i mean.

I know this question has probably been asked 1000's of times but which cert should I go for. I was looking into the MCSA so can any one tell me all the exams I have to pass to become MCSA

    They are anything but confusing.

Have a look at Microsoft Technology Training | Microsoft Certification | Microsoft Learning and you can see all the exams and what they count towards.

Administrator, engineer and IT Professional are major titles which encompass more then one exam. The technology specialist title is achieved with passing just one exam. For example you can take one exam on either deploying or configuring Windows 7 and earn the technology specialist (MCTS) title for configuring or deploying Windows 7, based on the exam you take.

The certification titles involve a LOT of knowledge and content that's why they are more then just one exam.

MCSA does not apply to Windows Server versions newer then Server 2003. The new title is either MCITP: Server Administrator or Enterprise Administrator. Check out the Windows Server certification information page and specifically read under "Your profile". Microsoft Server exam list
