Here it is guy's and girls:

Just got my Lacie external USB hard drive and the Linksys NSLU2 Network storage interface :biggrin

Swotted up on the manuals last night and was looking forward to a nice plain sailing event of configuring them today :dry

Plugged the Lacie in, Bingo, XP found and loaded the drivers in a jiffy. I then went into Disk management to format the drive. Great!

I then connected the hard drive to the Linksys storage and the linksys storage to my Linksys router (WAG54G).

According to Linksys you pop the set-up disk in, it finds your drive and bingo. Sadly not.
The status light, ready light and disk 1 light (where the Lacie is attached ) is on. The Lacie is purring away and the ethernet 2 light is on the router.
I cannot open the storage device by opening the default IP address via my browser either!
I disabled the firewall on the router and the software one with no joy
I have contacted Linksys and await their reply.
There doesn't seem to be any facility in the router configuration for adding clients although there are four ethernet ports and in all fairness when I used port 2 for another computer to connect to the net no configuration was needed.

Edit " It does help if your network address is in the same class as the rest of the network"
