Just starting to find some time to get back into my gaming a bit which is real nice (I find it very relaxing running around shooting people !).

Hiya mate, are you playing Modern Warfare 1 or 2?

 

im playing CoD modern warfare on the wii, it really eating into study time, got exams next month!!!

anyone got advice on how to put the AK47 down and pick the books up?ha ha.

I still prefer CoD1 though the clan doesn't have any servers for that. We play UO, CoD2, MW and WaW

I can't get on with all the darn prestige bits and ranks etc (too complicated at my age )

Really tidy site mate.

Never really got into online gaming until MW2 - used to get too fed up with getting shot in the back of the head within 2 seconds of spawning.

Anyway, maybe I don't get it, but is it the case that PC online gamers can 'cheat' by adding mods to their game, which you can't really do with consoles?

I saw a video on youtube where some guy was playing MW2, and had basically given himself x-ray vision (not talking thermal here) and could see all opponents highlighted wherever they were.

Must say, that sort of thing spoils it for me.
I always feel slightly ashamed after an online match where I'm chuffed that I managed to kill 3 people, then see that nobody else in my 'team' killed less than 30.

Oh well.
Maybe I should take up gardening...

I do play as well... but on the xbox or ps3.... unfortunately my computer is not fast enough nowadays so I am stuck to consoles instead.

 

Xbox for me. I prefer consoles to PCs for this kind of online gaming - evens the playing field...

Played and completed teh single player CODMW2 weeks ago. Only played Multi player today for first time. I have played loads of Online games in the past and still prefer dedicated servers to the way COD MW2 does it, but it works and was quick enough.

I went to lvl 4 in matter on an hour, only died about 150 times but i did manage 90 kills as well so not too bad a ratio. Its quick its simple, and its fun, so will try playing again later.

I just miss being able to play as a clan on one server, playing the same people regulary. The new way seems just pot luck.

 

Yeh the PC community slated the developers for that but console sales are just more lucrative I suppose. Shame

yeah teh console market is easier to please i think. Me lads got ity on teh xbox 360 as well. Pity you cant get teh xbox and pc to join teh same game. Mind you, he'd only beat me!

 

MS did try a crossover platform game (can'r remember now what it was called) when Vista came out. I remember seeing it demo'd at MS in Reading.

Pity more developers don't do it but again, they tend to give features to consoles and cut down a PC version
