Hi there _omni_, how did your course go with Joskos? Was it worthwhile? How was the job guarantee at then end of it?

    Would you recommend them?

Oops, omni, your PM box is full. :(

    Gonna copy my PM here:

Wow, thanks for the heads up. I guess I should try going a head with self learning first to see if I can cope myself. The main reason I'm contemplating taking these training course (either Joskos or elsewhere) is the job guarantee after it. But it seems that this guaranteed job comes with loads of strings attached so I guess it's not 100%.

I'm suppose to go into watch a sample lesson on this coming Monday, do you think I should even bother? It's over an hours journey for me. :(

Btw, haven't they been able to find you a work experience placement during the past few months? The sales guy said that they try to get you into work within the first few weeks to gain some work experience while you study at the same time. Or is that a load of bull too?

    Thanks again!

    Joe

any job guarantee by these training companies will come with a load of strings attached.
you probably should come and see a sample lesson if you are considering spending that amount of money in a training provider. as i said, the lessons are enjoyable, but not enough to pass the exams without major self study.

about the work placement: no, i haven't gotten one yet - but i haven't asked them to (get me one) either. i'm thinking perhaps once i get my mcsa.

but i think the work placement thingy is pretty valid. i know a student there who opted to do his work placement within joskos - like he would go with them to their sites to set up systems and stuff, as they are also a solutions provider.
anyway he enjoyed it and now works full time for them as a technician or something (not sales, ha!).
