BT Home Hub with an existing network

    OK now we are talkin!!

    Firstly change that key....go to the site I pointed out erlier in the thread...here and select 'Maximum WPA Security' then hit generate...it will give you a random 63 character key.

    Secondly..if you click the WPA dropdown box..does it come up with AES??

    apparently wpa2 uses AES

    OK...if you know that any devices you are going to connect to your hub are WPA2 compatable then choose that one...if however you are not sure then choose WPA+WPA2...if this does not work just use WPA....this will be sufficient for your home security.

    Remember to copy that new key you have geberate to a text document as you will need that to set up the other connected devices.

    allright. i think we are up and running with WPA-PSK and a scary key. no suckers getting through this now.

    i may just change my wireless network name, but im undecided as yet, so i think ill leave it for now.

    No worries, you are very welcome. Glad you are secure!!

    Its a good idea to change your SSID as at the moment it gives away the make/model of your AP. One less thing for the would be hacker to find out!!!
